Review by hotel critic
As an Italian culinary critic, I seek hotels that embrace local flavors and sustainability. SHG Hotel Catullo pleasantly surprised us during our family vacation. While slightly removed from central Verona, the warm staff and spacious executive room welcomed us like old friends. This hotel holds promise for families seeking a cozy retreat.Exploring the area, we visited Villa Mosconi Bertani, savoring the rich history of local winemaking. We also indulged in a tour at Tommasi Viticoltori, experiencing the art of winemaking firsthand. Back at the hotel, our children enjoyed the clean and comfortable beds, with ample space to play and rest. The convenience of easy parking and proximity to the city center added to our experience, making it hassle-free for our family. While SHG Hotel Catullo may need some updates, it offers a budget-friendly option with a hearty breakfast to start the day. Families looking for a simple, no-frills stay will appreciate the genuine hospitality here.
